Microsoft Edge is unique to Windows 10, which is already installed on 25% of all PCs. But according to the Netmarketshare, a website that monitors desktop browsers traffic is counting only 5% unique PC users are using Microsoft Edge in July 2016.

Almost three-quarters of the users of Windows 10 do not use the Microsoft Edge web browser which comes default in the new version of the Microsoft’s operating system Windows 10. So now the tech giant Microsoft plans to pay the Windows 10 users for using its web browser Microsoft Edge.

It is true that the first version of Microsoft Edge was very basic, with little support and few functions. Users criticized the absence of extensions. But earlier this year it has improved greatly, and extensions are also available now. Still, it does not seem enough to convince users to abandon Windows 10 Chrome or Firefox and pass Edge.

Here is the picture which will show the stats, it is a bleak picture, considering that Chrome already used more than 50% . That’s why Microsoft will pay money to American users to use the Microsoft Edge browser, through the program Microsoft Rewards.

Yes, the program Microsoft Rewards, Microsoft announced earlier this week, is a rebranding of Bing Rewards, a program that will give people points for using the search engine, Bing. The new program, which is currently available only in the United States, will give people points for using Edge and Bing, and shopping at the Microsoft Store. But there is one condition: you have to use the Microsoft search engine Bing as your search engine.

Users who will use actively the Edge browser for one hour (move the mouse, loading pages, watching videos) will receive Microsoft Points, up to 30 hours a month. All these points can be redeemed for vouchers or credits in places like Amazon, Starbucks, Skype and ad-free version of Outlook.com.

The new Windows browser is really good, especially if you use it on a notebook with Windows 10. But Microsoft needs to put a lot of effort to counter the overwhelming 60% of users currently prefer to use the Google’s Chrome Browser.

Mozilla hired British design company, Johnson Banks to come up with 7 new concepts to demonstrate the company’s work. The logo designs are vibrant and attractive enough to confuse users.

Mozilla’s Creative Director Tim Murray writes in a blog post “Each of the seven concepts we’re sharing today leads with and emphasizes a particular facet of the Mozilla story. From paying homage to our paleotechnic origins to rendering us as part of an ever-expanding digital ecosystem, from highlighting our global community ethos to giving us a lift from the quotidian elevator open button, the concepts express ideas about Mozilla in clever and unexpected ways.”

“From here, we’ll reduce these seven concepts to three, which we’ll refine further based partially on feedback from people like you, partially on what our design instincts tell us, and very much on what we need our brand identity to communicate to the world. These three concepts will go through a round of consumer testing and live critique in mid-September, and we’ll share the results here. We’re on track to have a final direction by the end of September.”

However, there is no voting system. Mozilla is just asking it’s users for comments. The design will be selected according to what internet users fancies. The design is expected to be finalized by the end of September.

The best part is the 7th gen Core processor swiftly handled the 4K GoPro videos and showed us the gameplay of the Game Overwatch without any need for a GPU.

Kaby Lake will add native USB 3.1 Generation 2 Ports, whereas Skylake motherboards require a third-party add-on chip in order to provide USB 3.1 (10 Gbit/s) ports. Kaby Lake will add native HDCP 2.2 support, along with full fixed function HEVC Main10/10-bit and VP9 10-bit hardware video decoding.

Before Kaby Lake, Cannon Lake was scheduled to launch this year. However, Intel seems to change its mind and went on with Kaby Lake. The 10nm-based Cannon Lake was scheduled to launch at 2017.

Earlier most websites were banned in India using DNS-filtering which was actually easy to bypass using any third-party DNS services. However, Government has taken help of big companies like Tata Communications and Airtel in order to attain their “Blocking” Goal.

However, the reports are rolling out that says that the anniversary update is causing PC’s to freeze. Even, the tech giant Microsoft also confirmed a major issue and admitted that Windows 10 may freeze after installing the anniversary update.

The problem is more severe for Windows 10 users because they can’t opt out the Windows 10 anniversary update and Microsoft itself says that the major bug that causes Windows 10 to freeze has no fix.

Microsoft recently posted a topic on their support site where they mentioned that “Windows 10 may freeze after installing the Anniversary Update – Updated 8-16-16“

“Microsoft has received a small number of reports of Windows 10 freezing after installing the Anniversary Update on systems with the operating system stored on a solid-state drive (SSD) and apps and data stored on a separate drive. This issue does not occur when starting Windows 10 in Safe Mode”.

“If you are experiencing this issue, we will be providing updates to this thread. Click the Subscribe button at the end of this post if you want to be notified when this thread is updated. In the meantime, you can work around this issue by signing into Windows 10 using Safe Mode to move your apps and data to the same drive as your operating system”.

Microsoft has confirmed that the issue might have affected a few users. However, things are different according to a Reddit thread. If we look at the Reddit thread then we could assume that more than 1000 users seem to report about their issue after installing the Windows anniversary update.

We have recently seen Microsoft released nine security updates to patch 34 severe security flaws in Windows. However, the fix to this bug is still not found which can freeze users computer.

This New Attack Can Monitor Keystrokes, Steal Sensitive Data From Android Devices

The security researchers from an Austrian university have introduced a new method of attacks that could easily allow them to perform cache attacks on non-rooted Android devices which can easily monitor all the keystrokes, screen taps, and can easily steal all the sensitive data from the infected device.

The conference Usenix Security Symposium a group of researchers from the Technical University of Graz (Austria) has introduced a new method of attacks on the cache multi-core ARM-processors used in Android devices. The attack is dubbed as ARMAGEDDON, which simply allows the attacker to bypass the protection of ARM TrustZone and intercept keystrokes, screen taps and easily steal all the sensitive data from the infected device.

The attack on processor cache allows extracting pieces of information, which in turn can be used to determine the data being processed. In the past, researchers have also developed numerous ways to carry out such attacks, most of them were sent to the processors with the x86-architecture.

Because the ARM architecture is a relative newcomer to the CPU market, experts have now only to consider the possibility of using old methods to the new platform, implemented in smartphones, tablets and devices from the scope of the IOT (Internet of things).

To track the clicks on the screen, keystrokes (on-screen keyboard) and on-screen taps, processed by the processor, the security researcher used the technique Prime + Probe, Flush + Reload, Evict + Reload and Flush + Flush. In addition, the researchers were able to determine the length of the words entered on the touchscreen.

According to the security experts, the attack can be easily carried out from the user space without any elevated privileges. Hence, to this attack hundreds of millions of Android devices are vulnerable and the security experts stated that defending against these attacks is not an easy thing to do. The hackers group named “The Shadow Brokers” claims to have penetrated an NSA-backed hacking operation. The group of hackers claimed that they have hacked into “Equation Group” which is a cyber attack group widely believed to be associated with NSA.

Hackers managed to dump a collection of Equation Group’s hacking tools which includes Malware, private exploits, and other hacking tools online. According to Shadow Brokers, they have hacked Equation Group and they are holding many Equation Group’s cyber weapons.

According to the reports published by Kaspersky in the year, 2015 Equation group is “threat actor that surpasses anything known in terms of complexity and sophistication of techniques, and that has been active for almost two decades”. Equation Group which is a cyber attack group widely believed to be associated with NSA.

It is really hard to believe. However, some cybersecurity experts examined the leaked data and other hacking tools and they fairly believe it to be legitimate. Matt Suiche, founder of UAE-based cyber security firm comae technologies told the Dailydot “I haven’t tested the exploits, but they definitely look like legitimate exploits”

According to the hacker group “The Shadow Brokers”, they have only leaked 40% of the breach, and will release the remaining 60% to the highest bidders. The leaked data contains installation scripts, configurations for command-and-control (C&C) servers and exploits targeted to specific routers and firewalls.

Not only that, Hacker Group “The Shadow Brokers” demanded $568 Million in Bitcoin to leak the best cyber weapons and more file. According to the FAQ, they posted with their dump they seem thirsty for bitcoin.
